Our Naturopathic Medical Services

Primary Care Medicine

From colds and the flu to chronic diseases and cancer support, we work with people of all ages and walks of life to guide them on the path to prevention and wellness. Our physicians will actively communicate with any other health care providers you may be working with to facilitate a “team-based” approach to your health care.

Laboratory Testing

In order to discern what are the root causes for your symptom or disease, we utilize a variety of conventional lab tests to appropriately evaluate cholesterol, thyroid levels, cardiovascular health, cancer screening, hormone balance, vitamin D levels, and more. When necessary we can order all the standard imaging studies including X-rays, Ultrasounds, CT scans, MRIs, and Bone Mineral Density evaluation for you. In addition to conventional lab testing, we also utilize a variety of specialized labs to evaluate functional disorders that are often misdiagnosed or left untreated. Some examples include digestive analysis, adrenal function, food allergy and heavy metal testing.

Preventive Annual Exams for Men

A key component of good health is being aware of your risk for certain diseases and screening appropriately to prevent progression of disease. For men, conditions like heart disease and prostate cancer commonly have no symptoms and can go undiagnosed during early stages of disease. We encourage all of our male patients to have individualized annual exams that take into account your family history, dietary habits, health history and other risk factors that put you at risk for disease. While you are here we can also address any other health concerns you may want to discuss.

Preventive Annual Exams for Women

As you have heard before, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. For women, starting at 21 years old, it is recommended that they receive annual well woman exams including clinical breast exams and pap smears to screen for breast and cervical cancer. Our doctors will make this experience as comfortable as possible for you and keep you well-informed on the most current recommendations.

Vaccine Schedule Consult

To vaccinate or not? When and how often should you vaccinate your child? We can help answer your questions regarding vaccinations.
We base our recommendations on a thorough understanding of the early development of the immune system and will consider the risks vs. benefits of vaccinating your child on an individual basis. We can walk you through the many questions regarding vaccines. We take into account you and your child’s individual health risks to help recommend the healthiest individualized vaccine schedule.

Hormone Balancing

With today’s high stress on-the-go lifestyle, there is a heavy burden put on our endocrine system. In addition, plastics, pesticides, and heavy metals have a tendency to accumulate in our hormone producing glands and influence hormone production. These and other factors contribute to a large percentage of people having problems with their hormone balance. We use the safest and most effective approach towards helping you achieve balance within your entire endocrine system using approaches such as:
• lifestyle modification
• nutrition
• reduction of environmental toxin exposure
• herbal medicine
• bioidentical hormone replacement

Clinical Nutrition

Everyone is different when it comes to determining what is the best diet to follow. As Naturopathic Physicians, we are experts in medical nutrition, and can help you determine what diet works best for you. We’ll work with you to balance your blood sugar, reduce your gastrointestinal inflammation, identify food sensitivities, improve cardiovascular health, and much more, all through eating the correct foods. Also, when necessary, we utilize a variety of pharmaceutical grade nutritional supplements to support your body’s own healing capacity.

Botanical Medicine

Herbal medicine has been used for centuries to cure all sorts of conditions from asthma and allergies to heart disease and cancer. Because botanical medicine utilizes whole plants in their natural form rather than isolates made in a lab like pharmaceuticals, they have a variety of synergistic effects on the body. Thanks to this, they are usually gentler and better tolerated with fewer side effects than pharmaceutical drugs. They are also very useful for transitioning people off of pharmaceuticals when necessary. We maintain an herbal medicinary in our clinic and frequently make up botanical tinctures individualized for our patients’ needs.

Preconception and Fertility Counseling

Starting a family can be an exciting time in life, but did you know that the most critical time for early fetal development is actually before conception? The health of both parents leading up to conception plays an important role in a healthy pregnancy. We can provide you with the knowledge and practical skills that you need to optimize your conception efforts and start your family on the healthiest path possible.
If you are looking for support for fertility issues there are many factors to take into account. Many functional endocrine imbalances and nutritional deficiencies often go undiagnosed, and when improved can improve fertility.

Wellness Counseling

Health is not simply the absence of disease but the presence of energy and vitality that allows you to achieve your full potential in life. Excellent health requires effort and guidance. We have the tools to help you achieve your true potential and live a full vibrant life.
